Now calling Ballarat home, Daniel grew up in Sydney and is a qualified Chemical Engineer who currently holds a role as Team Leader at MARS Chocolate in Ballarat.
Daniel spent three seasons in the BCFC senior playing group since moving to Ballarat five years ago, holding the role of club captain throughout 2015 and 2016 before stepping away in 2017 to focus on his professional career.
Daniel is grateful for the opportunities that football has presented him throughout his lifetime and is passionate about building a sustainable and inclusive club culture, where players have the opportunity to be the best they can be both on and off the field.
John is one of the founding directors of Lake Imaging, a radiology business that operates in Ballarat and other areas of regional Victoria. John is the current CEO of Integral Diagnostics, the parent company of Lake imaging, where it operates one of Australia’s largest Radiology groups. John sits on the Board of Integral Diagnostics and is a member of the Australia Institute of Company Directors.
John has a keen interest in the community having previously been a director of United Way, Ballarat and Vic West Community Telco; John is currently Chair of Ballarat Clarendon College.
John’s son is passionate about his soccer and plays in the U15 team.
Philip lives near Gordon, south-east of Ballarat with his wife Jane and his two boys, both of whom play for Ballarat City in Academy teams. Philip’s day job is as a flyfishing writer, guide and instructor. He’s the author of several books and has contributed to many other books and magazines. Over the last 20 years, Philip has been regularly appointed to government boards and committees to advise on both recreational fishing and outdoor recreation in general.
Philip and Jane have enjoyed watching the development of their boys at Ballarat City, and they value the genuine sense of community and enthusiasm the club offers both players and parents. As Academy Director, Philip is keen to build on these assets and to support the ongoing development of the club – and of course the emerging talent of its players.
Born in Ballarat, Tony is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years national and international experience. He has been Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary of a public company and served on a public company board. For the past 11 years Tony has been Managing Partner of SED Advisory, a professional services firm providing economic, strategy, planning and governance advice to Governments, Corporates and not for profit organisations.
Tony is a life member of the Golden Point Cricket Club and served on the committee for many years. He is also a current member of the Australian Industry Group’s Regional Committee.
Tony’s son plays with the Academy under 12 team.
Fiona has worked in the health industry for the past 21 years throughout the Grampians Region as a Health Information Manager, with her most recent role as Director of Information Services at Ballan District Health and Care.
Fiona has a keen interest in developing policy and procedure, building strong relationships whilst working together as a team to implement change through redesign.
Fiona is married to Craig, has two children Charlotte and Spencer and enjoys attending games at Morshead Park to support and be part of BCFC. Spencer is a keen soccer player who will play his second season with the BCFC Miniroos in 2018. He hopes one day to be part of the Junior Academy.
Corporate partnering Director
Stacey was born and raised in Ballarat. After marrying Eden in 2006, she moved to Cairns where she worked and studied with a sports nutitionist, naturopath and dietitian.
Stacey returned to Ballarat before the birth of her second son Isaac. Her older son Zavier plays at Ballarat City FC, and she also has a daughter Lexi, 4.
These days, Stacey project manager and designs domestic properties. Working with some amazing Ballarat businesses, she is passionate about connecting the local community with the region’s premier football club, while building strong support for soccer in our district.
Community Football Director
Herman is the current president of the Ballarat and District Soccer Association and has a long affiliation with soccer in Ballarat. He is a past president and committee member of the former Ballarat Red Devils at both senior and junior levels.
Herman has dedicated more than half his lifetime to the growth of football in the Ballarat region and continues to serve the local football community through his roles with the BDSA and BCFC.
Katie is a journalist with 16 years’ experience in print and digital media. In her current role as editorial transformation coordinator with Fairfax Media, she is helping to transform Fairfax’s regional newsroom operations.
Katie joined the Board in 2016 to assist with the development of a media strategy. She has been involved with the club since 2000 through her husband Tony, who is a past player, president and committee member.
Katie has two young sons – Matteo, 6, and Arlo, 4, – who look forward to playing soccer for Ballarat City one day, and in March, 2017, welcomed a daughter, Ada, to her family.
